The Image, horrible as it is, and I zoomed in, had no captioning of the event. So, using Yandex, I searched for the Image and they provided the following information, except in Russian. Using Deepl, I translated it thus:
«Terrorist attacks in Madrid
were carried out three days before parliamentary elections in Spain and were the largest terrorist acts in the history of the country. As a result of explosions of four suburban electric trains 193 people were killed and 2,050 were wounded. The foreign victims of the attack were granted Spanish citizenship.»
Absolutely disgusting that people could do this to innocent people, and that the slightest opposition to govts from the good people on a variety of issues (like the Jan 6th Protests in 2020 in the U.S.), the world’s governments severely punish people essentially guilty of nothing.
These are troubling times.
